My name is Brian DeCosta and I love helping men and women lose fat, gain muscle, and become Shredded for Life. I'm a Professional Natural Bodybuilder, Trainer, and the owner of Shredded For Life™.

My fitness journey began over a decade ago, graduating high school at a skinny 149 pounds. After several years of struggling to find the right information, even developing an eating disorder, I dove even deeper into studying what works and what doesn't.

After graduating from West Virginia University with dual degrees, I entered the corporate workforce for 5 years, until I experienced a near fatal car accident and decided to go ALL IN on my passion for fitness and serving others.

What if I want to GAIN muscle and size... is this for me? Who EXACTLY is the Shredded for Life™ Program / Challenge for?
This program is for ANYONE (beginner, intermediate, advanced) who is ready for a new chapter and to begin a new journey towards a better body and overall wellness routine, once and for all. Myself, along with my team, are experts in both fat loss AND muscle gain, so if you are obese and looking to drastically reduce your body fat percentage, we’ve got you covered. If you are skinny and looking to gain lean muscle mass, we’ll handle it (Even though you’ll do the work 😉). If you have strength-gain specific goals, we’ve got you as well. As coaches, we will meet YOU where you are currently and guide you properly towards your goals. NOTE: This program is NOT for physique or power-lifting competitors.

What if I'm vegan? What if I have food intolerances? Will you cater to me?
My intention is to meet you where YOU are with your nutrition. That's why I work with a dietician and nutritionist to build your nutrition plan based on your preferences. If you're vegan, you will receive a vegan nutrition protocol where you can eat in a way to get to your goals without compromising your food preferences (Ex. making sure you're getting enough protein). If you have food intolerances, those foods will not be included on your plan. However you prefer it eat, we'll make it happen.

My intention is to meet you where YOU are with your nutrition. That's why I work with a dietician and nutritionist to build your nutrition plan based on your preferences. What if I have travel plans during the program, like vacation, or I just travel a lot due to work?
No worries. Because this is a 1-on-1 coaching program, we will work with you to ensure you will stay on track no matter where you’re going in the world. Many of our past clients travel a lot for work, so we'll be sure to set you up with training and nutrition that will fit your current situation, even if that means bodyweight only hotel room workouts! We make it work. Period.
What if I have travel plans during the program, like vacation, or I just travel a lot due to work?
No worries. Because this is a 1-on-1 coaching program, we will work with you to ensure you will stay on track no matter where you’re going in the world. Many of our past clients travel a lot for work, so we'll be sure to set you up with training and nutrition that will fit your current situation, even if that means bodyweight only hotel room workouts! The answer depends on the person and the specific injury, but if you've been cleared by a professional to partake in physical activity, we will work with you so you can make progress while avoiding further injury. Based on your Client On-Boarding Interview, we will give you a plan that fits your wishes (ex. training Full Body workouts 3 days per week and eating vegetarian), however, if you give your initial plan a valiant effort and still are not enjoying it, we will re-work your plan to fit your preferences.

We do not believe in quick fixes when it comes to your health. Through experience, we've found anything less than 12 weeks is simply not enough time for us to create lasting change and habits shifts. Those who join this Shredded for Life 12-Week Program and remain committed throughout its duration will be extended an opportunity to continue their journey with us after the initial 12 weeks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Should I sign up for monthly or yearly coaching?

Monthly ($7/wk) and yearly ($4.90/wk) coaching are the same; the length of time is the only differentiator. Monthly coaching is a $28 USD charge once per month. Yearly coaching is a $255 USD charge once per year; you save 30% by signing up for yearly. For reference, our Programs are often 16 weeks in length. (NOTE: You have the ability to cancel at any time through our platform and will still keep access through the date you paid.)

Does SFL Coaching cover both training and nutrition?

Yes. You receive a (1) full training program and (2) nutrition program. We do not offer "training only" and "nutrition only" options, however you can choose to not use the training plan if you are only seeking nutrition coaching, and vice versa (As an example).

Does SFL Coaching include weekly one-on-one check-ins?

No, however between the 100+ education videos and our private community to ask questions and share progress, most clients tell us weekly check-ins simply aren't needed. If you desire check-ins, this option is available after you sign up.

What training program should I start?

The Build Man Program is for men looking to gain strength and muscle. The Shred Man Program is for men looking to lose fat and gain muscle. Based on your interview after you sign up, we will place you in the appropriate program. You have the ability to change programs at any time.

How is my nutrition program chosen for me?

Your nutrition program includes a (1) Meal Plan and (2) Calorie and Macronutrient (Protein, Carb, Fat) Goals. Based on your interview after you sign up, we will create your plan for you. You have the ability to ask for changes at any time.

I prescribe to a specific eating philosophy. Will you cater to me? (Ex. Vegetarian, Keto, etc.)

Yes. Our Meal Plans include Protein Focused, Keto-Protein Focused, Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Paleo, Low Glycemic, Vegetarian, Vegan, Anti-Inflammatory, Mediterranean, Carb Focused, Gluten/Lactose/Soy Free, and Teen Friendly.

Can I join if I don't live in the United States?

Yes. Any one from any country can join.

Do you coach women?

Yes! At the time of this writing (September 2019), roughly 30% of our clients are female. The Build Woman Program and The Shred Woman Program are enjoyed by many.

We believe the journey to a body you're proud of gets to be a fun experience. If you give your initial plan a valiant effort and still are not enjoying it, we will give you a new plan to fit your preferences.

You shared most programs at 16 weeks in length. What happens after the 16 weeks? What if I want to be coached longer than 16 weeks?

We do not believe in quick fixes when it comes to your health. Through experience, we've found anything less than 16 weeks is simply not enough time for us to create lasting change and habits shifts. After your 16 week program, you can join the next level of your program, switch to another program completely, or repeat the program. We will provide guidance on the decision that's appropriate for you.

What if I want to cancel?

Sometimes things come up and it's just not the right time. You have the ability to cancel at any time through our platform and will still keep access through the date you paid. (Ex. You signed up for yearly coaching on January 1, 2020 and cancel on February 1, 2020, you still have access through December 31, 2020 - the date through which you paid).
